Truly the end of an era in Hinwil as @audif1_ confirms that former team manager/sporting director Beat Zehnder will leave at the end of the year, having been sidelined in an earlier management reshuffle. I've known him since he was a mechanic in Sauber's sportscar days - a top guy who is one of a handful of people who have attended 600 plus races consecutively. In 1997, Heinz-Harald Frentzen and Jacques Villeneuve tested the formidable Williams FW19 at Monza, featuring an extremely skinny rear wing.
The design essentially consisted of the lower base of a traditional rear wing, stripped of its main upper elements, with the endplates significantly reduced in size.
The goal was to determine whether the increase in top speed would compensate for the car’s lack of pace in the corners.
Those were the days when it was possible to test anything on the track, without any restrictions.

Harry Potter: Quidditch World Cup released on PS2 23 years ago today.
You competed for the Hogwarts House Cup before taking on international teams. Every team had unique special moves, and catching the Golden Snitch was the highlight.
Quidditch had no right being this fun.
