Totally agree with this.
Sam Altman says we all have to suffer so AI can get better. Absolute bullshit!
Before pushing AI any further, sort out the fundamentals:
⚡ Reduce electricity consumption.
🔧 Develop smaller, more efficient chips.
💧 Solve the cooling problem.
🌍 Minimise the physical footprint.
Stop swallowing thousands of acres of countryside to build enormous, ugly, noisy data centres that drain power and resources.
Innovation shouldn't mean sacrificing our environment so tech giants can keep scaling.
Make AI smaller, smarter and more efficient BEFORE making it bigger.
Progress shouldn't come at the expense of the planet.
Do you agree?
Please ID this bird for me. I'm in the UK and the Birdfy app is telling me this is a Carolina Wren but they are not supposed to be native to the UK.
A little more research and it could be a Eurasian Wren, however, they are smaller than Great Tits and Blue Tits, the one in the video is much larger than the Great Tits and Blue Tits that have visited the box. @britishbirds maybe you can help?
