🌍 It was an honour and pleasure to meet H.E. Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait, on the margins of #UNGA81.
We had a productive discussion on further strengthening the longstanding bonds of friendship between the #Maldives and #Kuwait, promoting people to people contact through tourism, climate resilience, trade and investments. We discussed cooperation in areas of mutual interest and latest developments in regional and international arenas.
I also conveyed our deep appreciation for Kuwait’s longstanding and generous support towards the development of the Maldives.

His Excellency Vice President Uz @HucenSembe visits the Permanent Mission of the Maldives to the United Nations on the sidelines of #UNGA81, where he was welcomed by the Permanent Representative of the Maldives to the UN, His Excellency Dr Ali Naseer Mohamed.
During his visit, the Vice President signed the visitor's book and expressed his appreciation for the dedication and service of the Mission's staff.

🌍 It is great to be back in New York for the #UNGA81 High-Level Week, working alongside the Maldives Delegation as we prepare for a week of important engagements.
Returning in my capacity as Minister of Foreign Affairs brings back fond memories of my time here as Deputy Permanent Representative of the Maldives to the UN. Having experienced firsthand the extensive preparation and commitment required for High-Level Week, I have an even greater appreciation for the professionalism, dedication and meticulous work that go into representing the Maldives on this global stage.
Together with our delegation, I look forward to advancing the HEP @MMuizzu 's Maldives First foreign policy priorities, strengthening our engagement at the United Nations, empowerment of women in diplomacy, and making the most of the diplomatic networking bilateral and multilateral engagements ahead.

A Commercial Terms Agreement was signed today for the US$20 billion Maldives Waterfront and Marina project in Ras Malé. The agreement was signed by Dr. Abdulla Muththalib, Minister of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development, and Mr. Mohamed Alabbar, Chairman of Eagle Hills.
The large-scale development, planned on existing reclaimed land, will feature hospitality, residential, marina, commercial, educational and healthcare components.
The project is designed to boost investment, employment and housing opportunities in the Maldives while strictly adhering to national environmental standards.
