Just realized today marks TEN YEARS since Crowtel released on itchio..! I made a bulk of Crowtel discretely during my 3Dmodeling and compsci classes in high school, which probably explains why to this day I still use the same software I used to make Crowtel 😅

I've been making 8-bit covers of classical music for a new game lately. Having only made music with a computer myself, it's really given me a new perspective on composition, and how digital rigidity has been limiting my ideas.

As a game gets more complex, there are more opportunities to make the wrong decision. By sticking with a simple system, you let a game design itself rather than a developer design a game. AAA never thinks this way anymore, and profit motive echoes in the developer's louder voice

"artist" is thrown around so casually. I don't think it should be self-proclaimed, the value of your work isn't for you to decide. I think creative work is about conveying an idea, so by definition, someone who already knows the idea can't judge its efficacy.
