It effectively destroys the middle class. Make more money and the subsidies get taken away so families have to pay for way overpriced care while you get taxed more. So, the marginal dollar families earn gets swallowed up and the effective pay is small or even negative. Essentially, there is this huge no man’s land for incomes between $100k and $200k for a family of four. You either need to become poorer and everything is free or heavily subsidized or much richer and the price doesn’t matter. The middle gets destroyed. Obamacare made it such that the middle and upper middle class have to finance the whole system for (medicare folks, disability, medicaid/medicare scammers, illegals, lazy, and legitimately low income).
