AI now finds bugs that survived decades of human review, and writes code that looks right but isn’t. Tests can’t keep up. LeanCIL: formal verification for .NET Proofs about compiled C# and F# (any dotnet lang), for every input, checked by @leanprover github.com/NethermindEth/Lea…

Building RAG or semantic search in .NET? 🧠🔎 Microsoft.Extensions.VectorData abstracts the vector store so your app can upsert embeddings, run similarity searches, filter with LINQ + switch database providers (cont) msft.it/l/6013a0kST

A single .md file with tips & tricks for high-performance .NET/C# code, mostly meant for AI, and mostly aimed at benchmarks against the crustaceans 🙃 github.com/EgorBo/BlazingFas… (no unsafe!) Contributions welcome if anything's missing, cc @axeng200 @ben_a_adams

When in doubt, just use C# and ASP.NET Core. It's blazing fast. .NET 11 RC2 is even faster. For me, it's the best overall major web framework - auth, config, logging, perf, modular middleware, DI, cross-plat, etc. But I didn't expect this:
Campfire rewrite journey continues. I let the clankers run for a day, go through all the PRs that were submitted, verify the work, merge what was ready, and then ask it to bring all architectural improvements to each implementation. Good old C is now in the lead!

It's faster. It's not rewritten in Rust.

The Aspire 13.6 dashboard now uses Native AOT 💫 That means 66% faster median page-visible startup and no separately installed .NET runtime for the native dashboard executable. @JamesNK walks through how the team got there: devblogs.microsoft.com/aspir…

The upcoming release of System.Text.Json sees a swath of new features focusing on C# and F# union support, JSONL, and further narrowing the functional gap between reflection and the source generator: learn.microsoft.com/en-us/do… #dotnet

I have a new JSON-RPC library for .NET, it's PolyType-based, NativeAOT ready, user-friendly, and much faster than StreamJsonRpc. It supports UTF-8 JSON and MsgPack encoding. Let me know what you think. aarnott.github.io/Nerdbank.J…

C# FTW Everyone doing performance tests: please stop excluding C#. Thanks. After all, this is a top language in Age of Agents. Along with Rust. github.com/devmobasa/lemire-…
How quickly can you create small strings, per programming language? Python, C++, Rust, Go? Is Bun slower or faster than Node.js? Read my article to find out.

New Video / Blog Post: "Run Local Akka .NET Clusters with .NET Aspire" The biggest win here is that debugging / orchestrating a cluster is trivial now thanks to Aspire + Akka .Management. Links in next post.

C#/.NET being pushed hard running infrastructure at Ethereum's scale. Nethermind runs on ~3k nodes and accounts for ~33% of staked nodes - supporting a ~$334B native asset, ~$146B of stablecoins and ~$54B deposited in DeFi apps. Nethermind 2.0 has some amazing performance work in it: up to 2.55x block throughput, p99 block processing from 1.65s to 208ms, eth_call RPC 15-27% faster and Keccak-256 ~30% faster with platform intrinsics.
Nethermind Client 2.0.0 is out. It changes how the node stores Ethereum's state: archive nodes drop from ~30 TB to ~2 TB, you choose the history you keep, and blocks process 2–3× faster than the previous release on a fresh node. Nine years since the first commit. The fastest execution software we've ever built. Breaking changes; read the notes before upgrading. Release: github.com/NethermindEth/net…

It's been a while since I've contributed to ASP.NET, but this time I have an idea that keeps me up at night (io_uring_multishot).

🎸 .NET 11 goes to 11. 🔥 Smarter JIT deabstraction, fewer allocations, fewer bounds checks, tighter loops, SIMD boosts, and hundreds of runtime/library optimizations. ⚡ Your code may get faster without changing a line. 📖 Read: msft.it/6011abvXZ

The last 4 months I have been working on a state of the art PostgreSQL driver for .NET. It has a lower layer and a fully featured ADO surface, both with rust level performance and capabilities that far exceed that bar. It's called Slon and it's almost ready for the world.
