The Florida Learjet crash had a male captain and female co-pilot. It occurred during a severe thunderstorm. The NTSB is investigating. Studies adjusting for experience find no significant difference in accident rates between male and female pilots.

Deadlock‘s universe is so beatiful to look at. You can tell the devs and designers have so much fun with it.
Esports content is a money pit that doesnt even pay for itself in 80% of cases.
It‘s a necessary evil that needs to be nurtured but scaling it beyond bare minimum does very little for most orgs.
Content should be a key pillar of a larger community building strategy.
The state of Esports content is not in the right place. It doesn't make sense to me how many orgs will continue recruiting more rosters when their core staffing and business model is unstable.
Content is where the return on your investment comes from. Marketing is everything. It's how you get sponsors, and it's even being required by publishers and tournament organizers recently.
Above all, it's how you build a loyal audience and sell consumer products as an additional income stream for your company. Admittedly, it doesn't even have to be the greatest quality... just target the right people.
The unpreparedness from so many teams is unfathomable. You know your budget, be it an investment, and you know what events are upcoming whether you qualify or not. As freelancers, we accept jobs to the last second when possible and necessary so the client sees no issue and repeats this as they rarely even care about what service they are purchasing anyway. But, it's not right, andit really doesn't have to be this way.
I don't even need to explain the consistent unreliability on payments, it's too often from too many companies. Don't promise money, you don't have. We should not have to account for working for even nearly five figures a month, and more when you consider reimbursements for travel expenses out of pocket, and yet not recieve it for several months (past the agreement) and be behind on bills. A complete lack of human respect.
It's been so hard to stay motivated, but people like Slendy and myself simply genuinely have a passion for creating the best projects we can, in a space we love, for people we admire. I hope the ecosystem doesn't push us out entirely. We'll keep grinding, and keep searching for our next project.
