After Day'Ron Sharpe handed out a career-high eight assists in Wednesday's win over the #Hornets, he already has tied that at halftime tonight. The #Nets clinging to a 70-66 lead at the break against the #Hawks. They're shooting 65.7 percent, 9-of-18 from deep.

Day'Ron Sharpe recorded a career-high 8 assists during Wednesday's win over the Hornets. He tied that career high in tonight's first half alone. Jordi staggering MPJ and Randle has been a big part of that. Running the offense through MPJ has allowed Sharpe to operate as a DHO hub. He's been very efficient in that role.
Jordi Fernandez has been staggering Randle and MPJ by playing the former with the second unit for extended stretches. Not a bad adjustment. Allows the Nets to run offense through MPJ for extended stretches and gives the second unit a capable on-ball creator in Randle.

Brooklyn led 64-50 but let Atlanta close on a 16-6 run. The Nets have had no issues scoring, but they've committed 11 turnovers, leading to 15 Hawks points. That's the only reason this game is close.

The #Nets have hit ten of their first dozen to take an early 26-12 lead. Not sure how sustainable that shooting is, or holding the #Hawks to 29.4%. But they do look sharp.

Jefferson brought the efficient scoring, Bilodeau was everywhere defensively and Saraf created for others despite a rough shooting night. Whose development are you watching closest in Long Island? #NetsWorld

I've been high on Nolan since that 45 pt game in that youth tourney in the Euroleague, glad he's been improving and not selling my stock short so far
Mikel Brown Jr. and Nolan Traoré are electric. Both are averaging 12 points, but producing in different ways. Nolan has a 62% true-shooting percentage and is shooting 48.3% from three, while Mikel leads the pair with 4.0 assists per game. Against Charlotte, they combined for 34 points on 59% shooting and 50% from three. Mikel’s efficiency remains a work in progress as he’s got just 47.5% TS this season, but his flashes suggest legitimate star upside, while Nolan already looks capable of becoming a quality starting point guard. Jordi Fernandez MUST seriously explore them together instead of treating both as part-time options. #NetsWorld

LET THE WOLF HOWL!!!! In only 18:36 on Wednesday, Danny dropped 13 points, five rebounds and three assists with zero turnovers, a +17, and an absurd 88.8% true-shooting percentage. Per 36 minutes, that’s roughly 25 points, 10 rebounds and six assists. Brooklyn desperately needed more passing, processing and skill from its forwards, and Wolf provided all three while competing defensively. #NetsWorld

One of the biggest moments from the Nets’ win didn’t appear in the box score. Jordi Fernández called Julius Randle over to check back in, but after the bench extended Brooklyn’s lead to double digits, Randle waved off his own substitution and told Jordi to let them roll. This is why he’s a keeper. He’s got zero go. No worrying about touches or closing the game. Just recognizing which group had it going and putting the team first. He’s exactly the type of leader these youngsters need. #NetsWorld

Jordi found the cheat code and spammed it. Good find by @MPJTruther . The Nets ran the SAME action for MPJ five straight times in the fourth and scored every trip in their electric fourth during the 114-104 win over the Hornets. MPJ (26 pts 10 REB) drilled three straight triples, forced Charlotte to send THREE defenders at him, then created a wide-open layup for Nolan Traore. MPJ’s impact in Brooklyn’s offense goes beyond the box score. He doesn’t need to dominate the ball or dribble the air out of it to control a defense. His movement, quick release and shooting gravity force defenders to panic, opening the floor for everyone else. For a young Nets team trying to develop multiple ball-handlers, that’s the perfect kind of star scorer to have alongside them, especially when Egor returns and rounds into form. It’s also worth noting that Julius Randle was on the bench for this entire sequence. With MPJ operating as the main scoring threat, the ball kept moving, Day’Ron Sharpe repeatedly found him, and Charlotte’s defense eventually broke down.

Yes fans can see the vision offensively, but Sabonis doesn’t fix Brooklyn’s biggest problem: rim protection. If the price is reasonable, though, his screening, rebounding and playmaking could do wonders for the young guards. Y’all buying the fit? And if a trade were to materialize. It’s likely Sean Marks would need center a package around MPJ as the $40.8M salary plus Noah Clowney gets Brooklyn close enough to Sabonis’ $45.5M salary, while Sacramento receives an expiring contract, a young frontcourt player with the cherry on top being a first round pick for some draft capital. Would you do it? #NetsWorld
The Nets and Grizzlies are teams mentioned around the league as potential suitors for Domantas Sabonis, per @BrettSiegelNBA

Jordi Fernandez said he was planning to put Julius Randle back in to close last night's game, but Randle said to keep the same five in after the Nets went on a run: "I called [Julius] to sub in, and then we [extended the lead] to 10 or 11 points, and he tells me to just let them roll... A vet of Julius' [caliber], how important he is to us; I think that was huge."

Why are Nets fans excited after that win? Not only was it led by homegrown young players but it’s potentially the first win to be excited about since perhaps the KD/Kyrie era. Post-KD, the fanbase wasn’t emotionally invested with that core. ‘24 and ‘25 were tank seasons. The first win this season against Indiana was nothing to be excited about. Not hyperbole to say it’s the most exciting Nets win since KD last wore the black & white.

Mike Brown on Dalton Knecht: "He's a scorer. He's not just a shooter. A lot of people think he's a shooter because he's white. I said it for you, I hope I don't get in trouble. He can go get it" 😂
