Kansas Democrat candidate for senate Adam Hamilton held this roundtable with local Muslims and it went as expected: heavy on taqiyya.
They lied, misrepresenting the history of Islam as one of pluralism with Hamilton too clueless to call it out.
The woman speaking (Mahnaz Shabbir) cited the early years of Muhammad and Muslims in Medina as a promise of pluralism. They were, because the Muslims were vastly outnumbered at first. That soon changed, as did conditions for non-Muslims as they grew in power and numbers. And that's the pattern that's repeated ever since, the world over.
She even cited the institution of the jizya tax and the hierarchical apartheid system that is Islamic law (sharia) for non-Muslims. The dhimmi status that would relegate non-Muslims to barely 2nd class citizen status on their own increasingly conquered lands as Islam spread.
And she cites it as a matter of course, not the institution of Islamic supremacy that conquered and enslaved entire nations, costing millions of lives and souls alike. When entire Christian nations were conquered by Islam, it wasn't "a few bad people," it was literally all of them.
Hamilton, a Methodist pastor, misses it all and moves to the next question.
One of my favorite of his performances was in the film Logan (2017), the dementia afflicted Professor X. Seeing this while caring for someone with memory issues somehow meant a lot.
To see that he, himself, died of those afflictions is somehow quite heartbreaking. RIP

Three Christians are facing trial for preaching to Muslims in the state of Florida.
The Muslims involved had falsified statements, CAIR has lobbied for felony charges in multiple jurisdictions despite their terrorist designation in Florida.

I am the preacher who ate bacon in this video. It was CAIR and the MSA that pressured the Hillsborough county state attorney to file charges. The Muslims lied in their sworn statements and the state attorney is aggressively pursuing this. My lawyer made a split motion to dismiss based on the 1st amendment and the state is trying to fight it
Actually, JVS (Jewish Vocational Services) is the largest refugee resettlement outfit in the KC metro and is a partner with Adam Hamilton's Church of the Resurrection.
CoR also partners with Della Lamb, which along with Catholic Charities resettles the next highest numbers in the KC metro. Mission Adelante is a smaller player, also a partner with CoR.
When federal funds were cut off, CoR stepped up donation efforts. In 2025 they even designated the first $100k of a ministry fund to JVS as an Easter gift.
That's only one donation, but Hamilton has certainly been a key contributor to this effort, bringing all 24k members of his congregation to the table.

To be clear, I have nothing against churches doing charitable work or wanting to help refugees, especially Christian refugees. It's preferable to using our taxes, frankly.
But to step in where the government spigot has just been turned off gives a good indication, along with other statements, of what Hamilton means to do if he gains office.
Christian refugees were roughly 49% of the refugees resettled in the KC Metro in the 2020s, btw, followed closely by Muslims.
Adam Hamilton has been deeply involved in resettling refugees, a large percentage of them Muslim, in the Kansas City metro.
He has directed his 24k member congregation to donate hundreds of thousands of dollars towards this effort, in fact.

When they invoke Medina, they're referring to Muhammad and Co. migrating to a new land, building loads of mosques and consolidating power.

Why don't we prioritize persecuted Christians in this country? People like this?

In Egypt, Coptic Christians make up 10% of the population but are responsible for collecting over 90% of the garbage. They are called the “garbage people.”
This is not a coincidence. Across the Muslim world, Christians are relegated to the dirtiest, most degrading, and most humiliating jobs under Islamic social norms.
Yet in the West, Muslims are rising to the highest positions of power. If they become the majority, they will treat Christians and others exactly like that.

Well, another Cardinal has come out with a, shall we say, puzzling take on evangelization.
A few years ago, Cardinal Américo Aguiar, at the time auxiliary bishop of Lisbon, said that he and the other organizers of World Youth Day in his hometown had no interest in converting anyone to Christ.
Now Cardinal Jean-Paul Vesco of Algeria has opined that “the Church is not there to convert” and “Christians should approach other religions through fraternity rather than seeking conversions.”
Excuse me, but…what?
Last time I checked, the Founder said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” Sure sounds like conversion to me.
When St. Paul came to Corinth or Athens or Thessalonica, his purpose was not to listen or to form a discussion group but rather to declare an unnerving message: the euangelion (glad tidings) that Jesus Christ is risen from the dead.
So impassioned is he for this work that he says, “I have become all things to all people, that I might by all means save some. I do it all for the sake of the gospel” (1 Cor. 9:22); and “If I proclaim the gospel, this gives me no ground for boasting, for an obligation is laid on me, and woe to me if I do not proclaim the gospel” (1 Cor. 9:16)!
Moreover, the entire thrust of the Second Vatican Council was toward bringing the Light of Christ to the peoples of the world (Lumen Gentium). And this missionary élan has given rise in the last few decades to the idea of a “new evangelization,” which is to say, a fresh declaration of the Lordship of Christ.
Quite obviously, no one thinks that this work of evangelization should be done in a brow-beating, overbearing, or disrespectful manner (proselytization), but for God’s sake, let’s not throw the baby out with the bathwater.
If I really thought that the Church does not exist to bring people to Christ, then I would resign and get an honest job.

Tarpon Springs is Greektown. One of the largest concentrations of Greeks in the country and a fairly old community in the US. With a recent influx of even more Greeks.
