🏠Big news for ending rough sleeping in England.

974 people died while homeless in England and Wales in 2025.
Behind this number is 974 people whose lives were tragically cut short because of homelessness.
This is inexcusable in 2026.
And it doesn’t have to be this way. By working together, we can end homelessness for good.

JUST IN: 🇺🇸🇻🇪 Trump is now openly stating at the UN that the drug trade was not the reason he attacked Venezuela, but rather to stop other countries (Russia and China) from gaining a foothold in the Western Hemisphere:
“Our actions in Venezuela are proof that the United States will no longer permit threats to America to gain a foothold anywhere in the Western Hemisphere, and if necessary, we will use our unmatched military might to secure the vital national interests of the United States.”

BREAKING NEWS: Spending on temporary accommodation hits a record high.
Councils spent a whopping £2.9 billion on temporary accommodation in the last year – almost double what was spent 5 years ago.
Why are we paying so much to keep people homeless? 👇

Rough sleeping has been rising, which is one of the most dangerous and devastating forms of homelessness.
So, it's fantastic to see the Prime Minister’s national drive in England to get people off the streets by Christmas.

Burnham says new accommodation will be rolled out across England this winter, alongside more than 1,000 "settled homes" over the next three years, which No 10 claims is "fully funded" within MHCLG budgets
He will also hold the first ever national summit on rough sleeping this autumn to ask what society leaders can do to fully end rough sleeping
Burnham: "No-one should have to bed down in a doorway or outside a station. But we’ve seen it for so long that it feels like Westminster has started to accept it.
"I won’t accept it. That’s why my first instruction as Prime Minister was to end rough sleeping. And it’s why today we’re getting started with a national drive to get everyone in for Christmas.
"We did it in the pandemic. We can do it again. But it needs all of us. Government will put the money in. But I’m asking leaders in communities and sectors across society to play their part locally too.
"Let’s get people out the cold and let’s bring back hope"
