Smart Thinking

We’re delighted to share that The Jobs Foundation has been named a finalist for the Best Convener Award 2026, part of the @SmartThinktanks Awards. The award recognises think tanks that bring a wide range of voices together in new ways to move the dial on a policy issue, and our nomination centres on the work of our Employer Taskforce. Almost 30 major employers came together to pool their experience of hiring people who face barriers to work, including the long-term sick and young unemployed, and to turn that experience into a practical framework that other businesses can adopt. Getting employers around the same table to share what genuinely works has been one of the most rewarding parts of our year, and it’s a privilege to be shortlisted alongside such outstanding organisations. Our thanks go to every business that gave its time and insight to the Taskforce.

We've been named as a finalist for @SmartThinktanks Best Convener Award 2026! It's wonderful to be recognised for our convening power with last year's Margaret Thatcher Conference, which brought together CEOs, founders, funders and thinkers to discuss how businesses new and old will power Britain's prosperity.
