On my way back from Stockholm. We spent 2 days with one of my best friends. When you live abroad the easiest way to survive is blocking emotions and ignoring you miss friends and family.
But shields are destroyed when meeting them.
Cold showers for breakfast? Torturing myself so early in the morning? No thank you! The only thing I could focus on during the day was warming myself up. I wore two pairs of socks the entire day...
Living abroad is hard when something good or bad happens back home. Today something good happened. Wish I was there today!

Academic writing uses hedging to avoid overstating the claims. Researchers must be cautious when making statements.

Hedging minimizes the chances of other academics opposing our claims and adheres to the accepted style of academic writing.
