Crime and violence have robbed us of a lot of things. It will take a good while before it feels normal and okay to do simple things like walking, jogging or loafing around in our communities without being hyper vigilant all the time. It has helped to erode that community spirit.

You’re confusing economic importance with recovery capacity. Having the incentive to recover quickly doesn’t mean having the ability to do so when critical infrastructure is destroyed. GDP won’t clear roads, repair ports or restore an airport. 😒

Following the recent decision from Haas F1 Team confirming that I will not be participating in this weekend’s Mexico City Grand Prix, I wish to formally address some media reports and speculation surrounding the situation.
Last night, a difference in viewpoints led to a discussion with the parties involved. Whilst I acknowledge that this took place, I categorically reject any reports or allegations suggesting that any form of physical violence was used to resolve any differences of any nature.
I strongly condemn violence in all its forms and firmly believe that disagreements should always be handled with professionalism, respect, and mutual understanding.
I kindly ask that speculation be avoided while the matter is being addressed.
Further updates will be communicated in due course.

I've never been considering serious matters and said to myself "I wonder what Buju thinks about this".
Reminds us of some in Jamaica.
Bombs?
Our mission doesn't even have bombs at its disposal.
Aerial bombardments? Helicopter gunship attacks?
Our attack helicopters didn't arrive in Haiti until October 29. Their arrival was widely covered by the media, with plenty of videos and social media posts documenting it.
Yet this “report” was published a day before our helicopters even arrived. And as of today, they haven't flown a single mission.
These NGOs lie with impunity, while wielding enormous influence over international organizations.
They are nothing more than lobbying firms for criminals and cartels, masquerading as humanitarian organizations.

🇭🇹 A Haitian advocacy group is accusing Salvadoran forces of bombing civilians near Port-au-Prince, telling UN Secretary-General António Guterres in an open letter that "children are being killed not by gangs, but by foreign bombs."
🔹Despite its name, the United Nations Association-Haiti is not part of the UN but a diaspora advocacy group. Founder Harvey Dupiton, a Croix-des-Bouquets native, wrote that since Oct. 22, Salvadoran troops have hit civilian neighborhoods there and in nearby Canaan with airstrikes, helicopter gunships and heavy weapons. "Our families tell us they are hiding under beds," he added.
🔹President Nayib Bukele significantly expanded the deployment to over 2000 troops after gangs kidnapped four Salvadoran technicians serving with the UN-authorized Gang Suppression Force on Oct. 18.
🔹The group demanded an immediate halt to Salvadoran "offensive bombing operations," a UN investigation into civilian deaths and a Security Council statement that El Salvador "has no right to wage unilateral war in Haiti."

Some of the chief purveyors of wrongdoing and criminality in this country, who think they are fooling the people, are the first to assume an ostensibly righteous soapbox and seek to tell lies on Jamaica.
In seeing to assist the cause of their political party, the PNP, they are actually willing to hurt Jamaica and the people of Jamaica.
Regardless of who they are, the lies by wolves in sheep’s clothing, will be called out.
Who? 😕 Huh? Brand Jamaica is a collective, the good the bad and the ugly built Brand Jamaica. Not a "who", its Jamaica the collective.
Oh my God this is stupid 🤦🏾♂️
Opposition Leader Mark Golding has dismissed claims that uncooperative public sector workers are hampering the Government’s project execution, insisting that the real problem is the administration’s own non-performance.
