NEW TODAY: The Ford government plans to spend billions more this year — but not on sectors that say they desperately need it, like health care and education.
Ontario’s fall economic statement sets aside $3.8 billion in a contingency fund, more than double what was budgeted in March, to provide "fiscal flexibility" amid ongoing economic uncertainty.
The province is also projecting a $16.9 billion deficit, and has pushed back its timeline to balance the books.

So... what about his promises to bring prices down, to end Russia's War against Ukraine on Day One, to get 90 trade deals in 90 days, and to get Mexico to pay for that wall?
Did anybody vote for him because they wanted him to rename shit?

I never in a million years thought the president and First Lady of the United States would be targeting me personally and trying to hurt my kids, just because I used my voice to call them out.

Trump supporters are threatening to boycott the NFL after Al Michaels mocked Trump’s renaming of Lake Ontario during a preseason broadcast.
“That is Lake Erie. We think it is still called Lake Erie. We’re not quite sure at this point.”
Michaels added: “Read the news.”

Vaccines do not cause autism
Vaccine doses are nowhere close to “the size of a bottle of soda,” they’re a fraction of a teaspoon
The combo MMR vaccine is not “quite lethal,” it’s been very safe for more than five decades
There are no separate M/M/R shots available in the US and won’t be anytime soon
Autism prevalence wasn’t “1 in 10,000” in 2006, it was 1 in 110
No state has been requiring little kids to get “72 jabs,” nor even by age 18
Fact check on the rapid-fire vaccine misinformation President Trump delivered yesterday while pushing to change US vaccine policy: cnn.com/2026/08/11/politics/…

They DIDN'T work towards having a nuclear weapon until TRUMP tore up the deal. That is the opinion of EVERY nuclear watchdog group.
Also, it wasn't a "payment". It was THEIR MONEY.
Maybe if Trump could understand that BASIC idea, HE could have made one. But he's too dumb.

The irony is undeniable, and Fox News has effectively turned into a mouthpiece.
Let’s get this straight: a president who tore up a functioning agreement wants to blame the guy who had one. It's like smashing the brakes, crashing the car, and then yelling at the previous driver for the dent.
The 2015 deal placed inspectors on the ground, capped uranium enrichment, and bought time something diplomacy is actually designed to do. That $400 million Trump loves to dramatize wasn’t a “gift,” it was Iran’s own money, settled from a decades old legal dispute. Not pretty, but very much how international agreements work.
Fast forward. Deal gone. Constraints gone. Iran enriches more, faster. The region heats up. Shipping lanes tighten. Oil markets panic, we’re supposed to believe this chaos is Obama’s fault?
The “no more endless wars” promise? What happened?? Instead of avoiding conflict, we get escalation by impulse: threats, brinkmanship, and then scrambling to contain the fallout. The Strait under pressure, energy prices climbing, allies rolling their eyes while being asked to clean up a mess they didn’t sign up for.
Here’s the geopolitical reality:
Allies don’t rally behind unpredictability. Markets don’t stabilize on rhetorics. And adversaries don’t “respect” chaos they exploit it.
Trump blaming Obama is a cover. It’s trying to rewrite cause and effect:
Tear up diplomacy → lose leverage
Lose leverage → face escalation
Face escalation → blame the past
Trump regime is doing damage control!

It's important to note that the $400 million wasn't a gift or 'hush money.' It was actually Iran's own money from a failed 1970s arms deal, which had been frozen for decades. Returning it was part of a legal settlement to avoid much higher interest costs from an international tribunal.

Today I wish Ontario hadn't wasted:
-$2.2 billion on an Austrian spa
-$1 billion on an unneeded Science Centre
-$1.4 billion on early alcohol sales everywhere
-$3.2 billion on election bribe cheques
Every billion mattered.
