the 1930s famine in kazakhstan was so severe that kazakhs went from being over 60% of the population to under 35%, becoming a minority in their own homeland for decades. 42% of all ethnic kazakhs perished (the death toll possibly exceeding 2 million). it’s barely talked about
Counter-revolutionaries…..Like Russians ever need an excuse to get drunk….
“Toward the end of November occurred the “wine-pogroms” — looting of the wine-cellars—beginning with the plundering of the Winter Palace vaults. For days there were drunken soldiers on the streets…. In all this was evident the hand of the counter-revolutionists, who distributed among the regiments plans showing the location of the stores of liquor. The Commissars of Smolny began by pleading and arguing, which did not stop the growing disorder, followed by pitched battles between soldiers and Red Guards…. Finally the Military Revolutionary Committee sent out companies of sailors with machine-guns, who fired mercilessly upon the rioters, killing many; and by executive order the wine-cellars were invaded by Committees with hatchets, who smashed the bottles—or blew them up with dynamite.” - 10 Days that Shook the World
Yep. Case in point. Ukrainian farmers, stealing Russian tanks.

Tennessee is considering a bill tomorrow that would put foster kids with no criminal record in prison. Similar policies have led to mass r*pe and t*rture of innocent children in prison in New Hampshire other states. You can help us kill this bill today.
Tennessee (like many other states) has so many foster kids that they don't know what to do with them. Many of these kids are being taken from innocent parents, because they get federal money for every kid they take.
Because of this, they want to label foster children "in need of heightened supervision" and put in prison with juvenile offenders.
New Hampshire did this with the "Youth Development Center" prison. As a result, over 2000 foster kids were abused. Imagine the things that happen to people in prison. That was being done to foster kids who had committed no crime.
One child, David Meehan, says he was r*ped and beaten hundreds of times by YDC staff. He recently won a $38 million lawsuit for it.
We're going to stop even a single Tennessee foster child from suffering David's fate. In this thread, I'll tell you how you can help.

I find it hilarious how MAGAs want Greenland because of Northern passage which should open up due to global warming, yet, MAGAs don’t believe in climate change or global warming.

The heads of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force and the russian navy met in Tokyo... and the Japanese took the visit's official photo in front of a portrait of Admiral Tōgō Heihachirō, who annihilated an entire russian fleet in the Battle of Tsushima 😁😁

Upon review, Vance's stunt is even worse than imagined. It was a product of ineptitude:
Z went into a detailed recap of Russia reneging on agreements (to underscore the need for guarantees-b4-ceasefire). Vance (a DEI admit at Yale Law) is overwhelmed and /1
People get fixated on NATO, which wasn’t even discussed in Ukraine in 2013 when Maidan started, and it started because the president ran on joining EU, but then did a 180 and decided to join Russia’s Customs Union instead. Without 🇺🇦 40mil market, Russian project was DOA.
