कोल्हापूर जिल्ह्याचा स्वाभिमान असलेल्या गोकुळ दुधसंघाच्या निवडणुकीमध्ये कोल्हापूरकरांनी राजर्षी शाहु शेतकरी समविचारी आघाडीला बहुमत दिले. शशिकांत पाटील- चुयेकर यांना अध्यक्ष करायचे असा निर्णय यापुर्वीच समविचारी आघाडीने घेतला होता. मात्र आज अध्यक्षपदाच्या निवडीमध्ये महायुतीच्या नेत्यांनी आणि संचालकांनी अध्यक्षपदाला खोडा घातला. सभेला गैरहजेर राहून साडे पाच लाख दूध उत्पादकांनी जो कौल दिला होता त्याचा अपमान केला आहे. यामुळे समृद्ध वारसा लाभलेल्या कोल्हापूरच्या सहकार चळवळीला छेद दिला आहे.

Just In:: Two Jamia Millia Islamia students and NSUI leaders, Zeeshan Khan and Mohd Faizan, who were detained outside the university yesterday, were produced before the SEM Court at Amar Colony Police Station at 2 PM today.
Both students have now been sent to Tihar Jail in judicial custody.

As Home Minister, I have no hesitation in acknowledging a lapse when the police get something wrong.
In the Cheranalloor case, the initial police response was inadequate. Action will be taken against the officers responsible, and the investigation is now being handled by the District Crime Branch.
Whether the accused is a judge’s son or anyone else, the law must apply equally.
