This is my worry with this team, so far, this year. Against bad/mediocre teams they look great. Against good/excellent teams? Not so much. It hasn't all been on goaltending but that has been sub-par. (as it was last night)

To me it's a contract between two parties, the bettor and the Proxy Service. There is nothing for Circa to do, or explain. Bettors COULD demand contract terms that require the Proxy to reimburse them for implied value SHOULD the pick win. This assumes the Proxy is at fault

Having said all of that, the Proxy has not, to my knowledge, issued anything public outlining their side of the story as of yet. It's their job, not the job of Circa or Derek Stevens, to make that case.

I will say this, if I had an entry with an implied value just North of $500K, I would not NEED a reminder to get my pick in. The wife would not LET me forget. So I'm not sure we have the full story here.
