In an election cycle, everything that happens before Labor Day is prepping and posturing. Nothing is indelible.
But it’s September 9.
These are “start hiring new criminal lawyers and packing your s**t” numbers.

Yet another data point:
Look at all the blue-check MAGA bots in this thread openly pushing people to vote for the Dems to punish Trump/MAGA as a housecleaning.
These bots are all on unified message and have been for months...
It’s the top-down message that has changed.
Listen - I'm pissed at the GOP too. EVERYONE is pissed at the GOP in Congress. That said - mid-terms are not the time to stay home and let the opposition win. In fact, that's suicidal. Primaries are when you unload dead wood GOP - not general elections when the opposition is the option. Common sense.
Take the Hispanic 2024 bounce back… add in the affinity margin from Gov 2018 adjusted for new Hispanic registration…
y cómo se dice, “baño de sangre”?

I am an Election Judge in Williamson County, TX and have been for the last 10 elections. If a registered citizen has not moved and their voter status is in "suspense", it is NOT a big deal. It very probably stems from their recent voter certificate (aka voter card) being placed in the wrong mailbox by the USPS and then returned to their county elections department...so they think the voter MAY have moved. It is an EASY fix. You are still able to vote a regular ballot after filling out a Statement of Residence (3 minutes) to re-establish linkage with the election department.
Voter registration on the suspense list? You can still vote.
If your voter registration is marked as “suspense,” it just means your address may need to be updated or confirmed. It does not mean you are ineligible.
Check your status, update your information, and head to the polls with confidence. Visit VoteTexas.gov to learn more.
Spoiler: Governor of Texas can do none of these things, plus is notorious for making kitchen-table promises right before his reelection, which will never see the light of day during #txlege.
Look up the Teacher Vacancy Taskforce he created right after the 2022 primary! 👍

According to a report from CNN, an AI-aided intelligence report incorrectly assessed that a Chinese vessel in the Middle East was carrying nuclear material. Per the report, the assessment induced a fast reaction from U.S. military forces in the region, with forces preparing to interdict the vessel based on some sourcing, via the AI chat-bot the analyst used, that was “entirely false.” While the quote that a potential operation “may have started a war” is overstating the potential fallout, should the operation have been carried out, it would have dampened the U.S.-China diplomatic relationship significantly before the much anticipated meeting between Chinese President Xi Jinping and U.S. President Donald J. Trump.

Replying to @RealNickMugalli
is the Treasury Secretary really advising us basically to reduce one’s withholding so you get more of your paycheck up front? holy moly we are cooked
Another data point in the Great Cabal Theory. Full name check on JT, 2x, and with soft soft points. Gonna be a wild month, y’all.
1. James Talarico has a slick tongue and people like being told what they want to hear.
2. James Talarico is trying to justify socialism by misrepresenting Jesus. Jesus and socialism are not synonymous.
3. He uses examples of the worst people to portray it as a representation of all Republicans. Bad people exist in both parties.
4. He weaponizes wealth status as a sign of evil vs good.
5. If you think government is bad now, it's worse with a socialist.

thank you. this is what I keep arguing offline. ESPN shat the bed on this one and Holly’s victim routine here is so stupid. Talk about setting back women in sports journalism.
What’s a bunch of BS is how silent @espn and @sportsiren have been on the technical issues. They basically let Sark stew in all of this when they could have taken some of the blame.
been a minute since we’ve seen a senior #txlege member walk softly and carry a big stick
DARBY: “We could abolish the Railroad Commission with a simple majority vote in the Legislature if we so choose...(t)he Legislature giveth and it taketh. That is not a threat. It is a fact.”

This weak clip of “support” is another data point for my argument that the folks pulling the actual WH strings are just fine with how terrible a candidate Paxton is. 👌
Grab your murder wall string, and walk with me a minute:

What TPUSA UT’s chapter put out should have been the words coming from Ken Paxton’s and Abbott’s campaigns.
Being too cowardly and too weak to condemn racism against non-white Asian/Indian/Hispanic/Brown Americans could be a mistake that costs them the election.
The American people are not racist, bigoted, or narrow minded like Paxton’s support base.
Time to smell the coffee.
all these vultures trying to drum up any reason to still have Arch Manning‘s name in their mouths on Thursday look like total scrotes
Wowwwww. Now we’re starting to see the pivot where “JD Vance” was allegedly always against pointless wars.
👍
Neocon NeverTrumpers and their allies had 3 goals after the 2024 election:
1) Start a war in Iran.
2) Destroy MAGA.
3) Take back control of the GOP.
More than anything they love war, so whether the war was a success or a failure was irrelevant to them. That the war has significantly damaged Trump and splintered the 2024 MAGA coalition was just the cherry on top for them.
Next up for them is sabotaging the mid-terms. They will blame any losses not on the disastrous effects of the Iran war, but on MAGA policies like border security. Karl Rove will go on TV on election night and screech that MAGA, not 7% mortgages or $6 diesel, is to blame. The WSJ will blame the loss on border security. Anything to shield their own agenda from scrutiny.
After that, they will then move on J.D. Vance who they hate with the fire of a thousand suns. He’s a heartland American who served in the Marines but opposes stupid wars and therefore has the same effect on them as a cross has on vampires. He is kryptonite to their agenda.
The NeverTrump neocon traitors are actually fine with him eventually being the 2028 nominee, but only if he loses the general. So they want to bloody him up enough so that he barely clinches the nomination and then limps into the general.
Understand that losing in 2026 AND 2028 is essential to their plans to taking control of the party and returning it to the party of beautiful posers like John McCain and Mitt Romney.
If Republicans lose in 2028, that’s when they sink their fangs in. Neocon NeverTrumpers have been sabotaging the entire movement since the moment Trump first came down the escalator.
They will happily burn the country to the ground if it means they can rule over the ashes.
Keep this in mind as you watch the news unfold over the next weeks and months.
