Taking notes on the iPhone Duo is so satisfying… especially when it looks and feels like a real notebook that truly belongs to you.
With TypeDraw you choose what happens when you “open” your book, and you can personalise it with custom colours, fonts and even your own handwriting.
For everyone lucky enough to have their hands on a Duo today: TypeDraw is available on the App Store now. For everyone else: it also looks and works great on regular iPhones 😄
It’s already surreal to see TypeDraw featured in a publication like The Verge, but even crazier when it’s a whole article about why it’s the perfect app to turn your iPhone Duo into a notebook.

Type or draw, then close it. The next time you open the book, it shows your most recent note or the one captured nearest to your current location. (Great for restaurant notes!)

We built an app and widget that take you straight to your nearest note with a single tap from your Home Screen. Without you having to organise a thing.
That way, you can easily remember what to eat (or not to eat) at that one restaurant you haven’t been to in a while.
It’s called TypeDraw, and it’s available now. For any kind of iPhone.
You can now fold your iPhone Duo to tile recent apps on your Mac into different layouts. No, really.
While building the iPhone Duo version of choclift (our app that lets you open apps and more on your Mac) we had way too much fun figuring out how the hinge could control your Mac too.
Break a virtual chocolate bar and a full-size window becomes a two-window layout. Break it again for three, then four. With a satisfying crack every time.
You know it’s a personal notebook app when you can type in your own handwriting.
Here’s me drawing my letters with Apple Pencil on my new iPhone Duo, then letting TypeDraw turn them into a working font I can use for my notes in less than 5 minutes.
