Hyping myself up at work by saying “Rook, you’ve got this” and responding to myself with “Thanks, Varric”

"a Bionicle reboot"
"...we can do a Bionicle reboot"
"a real Bionicle reboot, no minifigs or references in system sets"
"i'll make you a very good traditional Bionicle reboot. collectibles, recolored pieces, Lego Technic and everything"

My favorite aspect of Mass Effect 1 that the sequels don't capture is the vast and lonesome splendor of the games' setting. In ME1 you fly to the furthest reaches of space and drive for miles across magnificent empty worlds that might never be traveled upon again. It's beautiful.
Mass Effect 1 is like "here are some random planets for you to spend five minutes on" and they have the most beautiful views you've ever seen
Every piece of news about this game feels like a gut punch. This would have been phenomenal
I can finally talk about Mass Effect Universe.
Since Bioware closed I can now reveal that I was part of the Mass Effect Council, saw what BioWare was building, and provided feedback during development.
• Set 600+ years after the Reaper War
• You play as a customizable N7 agent
• Instead of being a walking gun rack, you're a cross between John Wick and James Bond
• Shepard's legacy preserved, regardless of your ending
• A galaxy divided into three major factions
• Humanity, Krogan, Batarians, and more allied together
• Council races forming their own alliance
• The Geth emerging as a third superpower
• A galactic Cold War instead of another Reaper style invasion with a shadowy adversary
• Geth-built megastructures
• Connections between the Milky Way and Andromeda
• Experimental technology implanted in you as a unique point of difference
• Hacking and manipulating the environment
• See through walls, identify systems, remotely trigger hazards and more
• Handcrafted missions like ME1-3
• But with Hitman-style freedom in how you complete them
• Brutal close-range executions
• Squadmates who can clash with each other
• Romance wasn't being sanitised
• Liara returns - now an incredibly powerful Asari Matriarch
From what I saw, BioWare was making Mass Effect for us, the fans, not for people who don't exist.
It looked incredible.
And now we may never get to play it.

I don't know how to explain that I don't want some other company to own the ips I want bioware back and unburdened by the corporate shackles that ruined their games and far far away from EA
Chest pain
A purported BioWare developer has leaked a trailer for the cancelled ME 5 on Reddit.
The footage, reportedly titled "MASS EFFECT UNIVERSE," appears to suggest the project was further along in development.
Its authenticity remains unverified.
