Happy 9th anniversary to Witch Hat Atelier! It has genuinely made me a better artist and hopefully storyteller too!

Lots have been said about commission prices recently and obvs these prices are fine, their slots have been filled up!
But I love yapping about art and wages so more below! 1/?
Personally I wish I could charge less for my art and survive because I do it for the love of the game. But like everyone, I want financial stability and to eat and sleep well. That's the real bottom line.
And society as a whole decided art and creativity is a valued service. 5/?

Because we live in a completely disgusting and unjust world, half a million Palestinians in Gaza are about to lose monthly food assistance via the WFP due to a lack of funding, which makes Palestinian-run projects like this even more essential. Please please keep donating
Tomorrow, we will once again distribute meals to displaced people in Gaza.
The food will reach 150 of the poorest and most vulnerable families. Children deserve to have food to eat, just like children everywhere else in the world.
Your donations make a difference.
Please, contribute and help us make this possible: chuffed.org/project/172937-d…

New art at last! Trying really hard not to apologize for my hiatus. It’s been a busy past few months, between moving, cons, and traveling for fun, but I’m finally settling into a routine again. I’ve wanted to do a Dungeon Meshi tapestry for a while 🌿
ALT Tapestry piece featuring chimaera falin surrounded by vines and veggies and her friends
I don't like acknowledging negative takes at all but people don't even know Bumi comes from the Malay word for earth 😭
South/southeast asia and especially Indian culture always had an influence on this franchise. It also borrows Incan and Inuit culture so whatever goes
Question for people experiencing the cold! Do you wear socks in cold weather and have you always lived somewhere that gets cold?
