One of the oldest images of Jesus that survives in the world. And arguably the oldest Christian image of the Madonna & the Child that survives. From the Catacoms of Priscilla, 230AD. Before 200AD, frescos like this were rare because Christians followed iconclastic Jewish ideas and did not depict Jesus in art often.
