I would say it comes down to a couple of points. Firstly, a decay would only show on a mechanical edge with no room for discretion and for that, my guess would be that this is what your data shows. We have our own stats suite with 3.6k variables based on mechanical strats and we can see the edge decay based on time frames. CVD never fell into it as I'd personally never use it in a mechanical way. Secondly (am I'm not saying this is you BTW as I know you can trade but in general), a lot of my students who come to me for mentorship don't actually understand the true edge of CVD and imo, read it and use it completely wrong because there's so many kids out there that teach it wrong. Eg they ignore relative volume that is session specific and apply it to a htf where there is no edge. Just my two cents anyway. Always appreciate you brother

I gotta disagree here with alpha decay. I've used cvd, oi and other footprint tools my entire career and never witnessed a sustained decay. The only caveat I would note is that with more exchanges, the data is now more dilute so one needs to use aggregate data for a clear read. A single echange feed means nothing anymore.
