Schriffen may not have been the best PxP announcer.
However, a lot of people in this town took their frustrations out that they had due to the state of the team combined with the Sox letting Benetti go on Schriffen too.
And that wasn't cool at all.
Matt Spiegel on the White Sox letting John Schriffen go: "I’ve held back my feelings for the better part of two years since being very vocal on them in year one because I didn’t want to punch at a guy who was out here just trying to do his job. But this is a moment for me to be honest. I think he was terrible. I think the White Sox can do better, and they will do better."
