Zelensky gave a lengthy interview to Turkish CNN after meeting with the country's President, Erdogan. According to his statements, Zelensky proposed to Erdogan that he organize a meeting between Zelensky and Vladimir Putin in Turkey, and to establish a ceasefire in the Black Sea that would only apply to ships flying the Turkish flag, effectively offering Turkey the position of being the primary beneficiary of the conflict in the Black Sea. Zelensky also expressed hope for an invitation to the G20: There were signs that President Trump would invite us to the G20 summit and initiate steps to end the war. Of course, if President Trump officially invites us, we will support that.

Donald Trump has once again announced that he will veto many bills if the Republican Party loses control of Congress in the upcoming midterm elections in the United States: If that happens, I think I'll become "Mr. Veto." I won't let them act, and at some point, we'll probably reach some agreements. After all, this isn't the first time.

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, speaking at the EU-Canada summit, ignored the demands of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and several other EU leaders, and once again stated the need to make Canada a special member of the EU. At the closing press conference of the summit in Montreal, von der Leyen announced that she had discussed with her Canadian counterpart, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, the idea she presented in September, to make Canada an "associate member." When asked about German opposition to this term, von der Leyen did not give a direct answer. Instead, she emphasized the broad support for this idea among EU member states and in the European Parliament, aimed at strengthening ties between Canada and the EU.

Advisor to the Supreme Leader of Iran, Mohammad Mohber: "Iran's defense doctrine is rapidly changing. Naturally, the geography of threats no longer defines the geography of retaliatory actions. The reassessment of deterrence capabilities has gone beyond the regional level, and neither the origin, nor the scale, nor the location of threats impose any restrictions on Iran's calculations in the field of deterrence."

Macron deploys 70,000 police officers to counter protests CLASHES IN PARIS – TEAR GAS USED BY POLICE AND SOME PROTESTERS Interior Minister Laurent NUNES: All forces are mobilized to respond forcefully to any disturbances... every day of mass protests is a period of very high risk. Previous demonstrations have been accompanied by riots and looting. Damage to retail businesses, according to the French Chamber of Commerce, has exceeded one billion euros. Taking into account uninsured damage and lost revenue, the total losses could be twice as high.

North Korea claims cluster-bomb warhead can turn 12–13 hectares into ashes North Korea’s state media KCNA reported on Sunday that the Missile Administration conducted a combat-power test on October 31 of a cluster (scattering) warhead for tactical ballistic missiles. Officials said the Standard Type-2 warhead demonstrated the ability to devastate a target area of 12–13 hectares (roughly 30–32 acres) at maximum density. The test was overseen by Gen. Kim Jong-sik; leader Kim Jong Un was not reported present. Pyongyang stated that four variants of the warhead (standard and special-purpose) will be made available for frontline units to select according to mission needs by the end of 2026. Images released by KCNA showed a launch from a mobile launcher and multiple impacts on an island target. The claims have not been independently verified. This follows earlier 2026 tests of similar cluster warheads on short-range ballistic missiles and comes amid a series of recent North Korean weapons drills.
