Squidime 💿 (COMMS OPEN INDEFINITELY)

Anytime I see stuff like this from the franchise, it just reminds me that the era of Sonic, that I grew up with, is over. I'm sure the people at SEGA of America are cool dudes. There's no doubt in my mind that they love the Sonic series just as much as the rest of us. I personally loved Amy's character and thought she was wonderful just the way she was from the beginning through the 2000s. But it seems that they're making contributions to the franchise to shift certain characters and other parts of the franchise in a different direction that's just simply no longer for me. And that's okay. I would've been upset about this if this was a few years ago, but now, all this does is encourage me even more branch out to other franchises. Just like with life, there are certain changes that will happen that are simply out of your control. And no amount of likes or retreats on an angry social media post is going to stop that. I think that's why I'm just indifferent to whatever happens now. I'll always have the older Sonic games to go back to whenever, and I'll totally still buy & support any new Sonic game(as long as their good). It's just that my passion for the franchise, from a character & storytelling perspective, is pretty much done.
