My thoughts are with the people of Andhra Pradesh facing the devastation caused by Cyclone Arnab and those in Odisha affected by heavy rainfall and flooding.
I pray for everyone’s safety and urge Congress workers to extend every possible help to those affected and support relief and rescue efforts.

Let me make one thing absolutely clear. Your patriotism is no greater than mine, just as mine is no greater than yours.
Patriotism is not a competition, yet you are allowing yourself to be drawn into one because of political considerations.
You are senior to all of us. You should be the one holding the torch and showing the way, but it is your juniors who are having to do so. If you cannot do anything else, at least have the courage to stand by and hold that torch. A little humility and introspection would not hurt.
If you expect your juniors to respect you, then earn that respect through your actions.
We saluted you when you held your rank, and we will salute you today when you speak up against the Agnipath / Agniveer scheme, when you question the government about a shrinking army in terms of troop strength, and when you stand up for the interests of our armed forces.
Do you genuinely believe that unquestioning loyalty to the government earns you respect? Or is that a misconception?
As a respected veteran, your loyalty must be to the nation and to the armed forces you served, not to the government of the day.
Political sycophancy will neither earn you respect nor establish your patriotism. When you consistently appear to lean towards the government rather than stand up for the institution you served, you risk undermining the very respect your rank once commanded.

My heartfelt condolences to the families who have lost their loved ones. My thoughts are with everyone affected, those who have lost their homes, livelihoods and a sense of security.
I urge the governments to ensure swift relief and rehabilitation for every affected family during this difficult time.
