Manchester United is not the Glazers' personal cash machine, nor is it an experiment for INEOS and Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
It is a national football institution.
Since 2005, the Glazers' leveraged takeover has left a legacy of debt. In June 2026, United refinanced $425m in bonds by issuing $550m in secured notes at 5.36% interest.
Meanwhile, supporters continue to question ticket affordability, governance, investment priorities and the club's long-term direction.
Ratcliffe and INEOS promised change. Change must mean measurable improvements, not merely restructuring, cost-cutting and new promises.
Who is holding those in charge accountable?
I call on the Independent Football Regulator @TheIFROfficial to scrutinise United's financial sustainability, ownership governance, stadium strategy and supporter engagement within its statutory powers.
This is bigger than football results. It is about protecting a historic institution for future generations.
The Glazers are custodians. INEOS are custodians. No owner is bigger than Manchester United.
The club belongs to its history and its supporters. Its future must not be gambled away.
Will the Independent Football Regulator explain what it can do to protect clubs like Manchester United from unsustainable financial decisions?
I think it's time to force the Glazers to sell.

19 council areas house more than ten times as many asylum seekers as they have homeless households in temporary accommodation.
In one part of Lancashire, 423 ‘asylum seekers’ are housed while only 14 homeless households are in temporary accommodation.
74,000 ‘asylum seekers’ - the equivalent of a town the size of Woking - were being housed across England as of the end of June.
Reform will end the asylum system and deport all those the Tories and Labour allowed to break into our country.
We will put BRITISH people first.

STATEMENT:
Reform UK has reported ITV, its board, and its undercover reporters to the police.
Some of the crimes carry up to 10 years in prison.
They forged a passport.
They directly interfered in elections and almost certainly altered the results. Being paid to “canvass” for Reform in crucial wards we lost by a few dozen votes.
They lied to a veteran about their service and left him “violated”.
This is unprecedented.
The police are now involved.
Scrutiny of political parties is one thing.
But anyone breaking the law to try and ruin the lives of Reform’s staff, members or volunteers will be reported to the police and pursued relentlessly in the courts.

Housing asylum seekers in residential streets while British people sleep rough is a political choice that was always going to produce anger.
The people have had enough of seeing these illegal migrants being housed before our own.
If you have come to this country illegally, you must be deported back to your country of origin.
