The RFL pays tribute to Sir Billy Boston
Widely regarded as one of our most important pioneers – Boston became the first non-white player selected for a Lions tour, breaking significant racial barriers in British sport - he also became its first player to receive a Knighthood

Sir Billy Boston has left us at the age of 92. What a man, what an inspiration, what an icon - oh, and what a great, great rugby league player he was. Tiger Bay's finest and the only man on three statues. RIP Sir Billy - you will never be forgotten!

The Indomitables is a gem of a book. 26 players, 15 English, 11 Welsh on the tour of a lifetime aboard an aircraft carrier, four weeks from Plymouth to Fremantle.
"The Indomitables...is a gem."
"[Martin @rugbyauthor Whitcombe & @huwrichards3] bring the old players back to life so vividly as to make the reader feel they are about to jump out of the pages."
High praise indeed from the ever excellent @JackoRugby in today's @TheRugbyPaper
Today I join others from across our game and call for Gianni Infantino to resign as FIFA President.
Infantino has debased the office that he promised to elevate. He has lied, deceived and tried to feather his own nest at the expense of the game he is supposed to serve.
He has lost the support of his senior staff, his closest advisers, the vast majority of people who devote their lives to this sport and even, it would seem, the FIFA Peace Prize winner.
It is too late to save his dignity but it is not too late to save football. He should go. Now.
