Kings scored so often the scoreboard needed an addition. Somebody check whether this requires a building permit! 😂🔧⚽ The Knights rolled past Winton Woods 10–2 in the district semifinals, with Luke Young and Jesse Olugu scoring twice apiece! Joe Honthy, Dhanwin Kabirpanthi, Carter Thornock, Grant Young and Zyad Titkine each added a goal, plus an own goal credited to Keith Hiridson in the team’s report. Ten goals. One team. One very overworked scoreboard. DISTRICT FINAL BOUND! 🔴🔵 @GoKnights_MSOC @kingsathletics #KingsKnights #OhioHSSoccer #CincyCartoons

Lincoln Mann’s captain promotion comes with gloves, an armband and a strict guest list. Goals? Not on the list. 🧤🚫⚽ Meet Kings’ junior keeper in my interview after the 10–2 playoff win. @GoKnights_MSOC @kingsathletics #KingsSoccer #CincyCartoons

Class is in session at KNIGHT SCHOOL—and judging by that 10–2 final, the Kings boys soccer team did the extra credit. ⚽📚😂 Coach Christian Hay brings quite a résumé to the chalkboard: back-to-back state championships as a player at Summit Country Day in 2012 and 2013, All-American recognition, and a soccer career at the University of Cincinnati. In 2025, he guided Kings to its first Eastern Cincinnati Conference championship and its first state championship game, earning the Enquirer’s Division II Coach of the Year honor along the way. But when I caught up with him after the Knights’ playoff victory over Winton Woods, our conversation went well beyond the ten goals. After graduating 11 seniors from that state-final team, this group had to find its own identity. Hay talked about trust, new leaders stepping forward, the voice coming from his goalkeeper, and the midfield work that makes an attack possible without always earning a spot in the scoring summary. That says plenty about the coach: he notices the contributions that don’t come with a celebration. From a Silver Knight at Summit to leading the Knights at Kings, Hay is passing along lessons learned in championship locker rooms—and helping another group discover what it can accomplish together. Next stop: the district final. Class dismissed. Somebody check on those goal nets. 👏⚽ @kingsathletics #KingsKnights #KingsSoccer #KnightSchool #OhioHighSchoolSoccer #CincyCartoons
