The special NIA court at Rouse Avenue has granted permission to US National Matthew Aaron Vandyke and 6 Ukrainian nationals to travel to the USA and Ukraine to meet their families for one month, subject to certain conditions and formalities. The court directed the release of their passports to them. All 7 foreigners have been granted default bail by the court.

Raja of Mahmudabad was a distant relative of Jinnah's. His family were Princely States in the Lucknow/Sitapur area. During the Partition movement, he became one of the biggest supporters of the idea of Pakistan. He was one of the biggest funders and supporters of the UP Muslim League. After Partition was approved by the British, the Raja became "confused" about whether he even wanted to go to his own creation. Among others, Nehru tried to stop the Raja from going to Pak and begged him to stay in India. For what reason, I don't know. Later the Raja goes to Pakistan, then Iran, and the the UK, and dies. But in 1957, his son is allowed back to India. Once he returns, the son files a case to get back his property, which had been decreed "Enemy Property". He even wins his case in the SC, and Arun Jaitley as Law Minister in 2017 has to pass a law undoing this family getting back their property. This son of Mahmadubad marries the daughter of a Hindu IFS officer. Their son, Ali Khan Mahmudabad is currently the head of the political science department at Ashoka Univeristy. Moral of the story: India is not a serious country š¤·āāļø
