Great trip behind the iron curtain a real eye opener at the time 160 fans travelled from the old Liverpool airport , @LPL_Airport Tbilisi gave Liverpool a football lesson 👏
European journeys weren't always all glory... Liverpool FC travelled to Tbilisi on this day in 1979 and got battered 3-0! Following a 2-1 win at home, the Reds felt they could beat the Georgian side on aggregate and advance to the European Cup second round. After a goalless first half, everything looked fine, but the Soviet league champions bagged three goals after the interval, completely stunning the Reds - a truly rare achievement back then!

Over 3 MILLION people have watched this video now across social media platforms.
And it got us thinking...
If every person who watched donated just £1, we would have enough to complete the entire four-year phase of the Shankly Glenbuck project!
That’s the power of coming together.
We know not everyone can donate, and we would never expect everyone to. But if you believe in what we're trying to do — preserving this incredible story, honouring my granddad’s roots, and helping bring new life and opportunity back to Glenbuck and the surrounding villages — then even the smallest contribution can make a real difference.
£1. £5. £10. Every donation matters.
And if you can't donate, please share this post. That costs nothing, but it could help us reach the person who can.
Over three million people have already seen the story.
Imagine what we could achieve if even a small fraction of them decided to become part of it.
Donate or find out more here:

Together, we can make this happen.

Absolutely agree jockey it’s a fantastic club when we visited Montevideo they had just won the league, The Verdier Family were first class knew all our Liverpool fc history , would be fitting if this could happen ❤️💙
Liverpool Montevideo is getting a new ground @LiverpoolFC1915 it would be great if @LFC could mark the occasion by having a pre season game there.
LETS GET BEHIND IT!
I visited there a couple of years ago and was honoured by the hospitalty a group of locals gave me who I'd never met before, they was totally in tune what Liverpool FC is all about, the history, the fan culture etc.
The football club Liverpool Fútbol Club in Uruguay, was named in 1915 after the English port city of Liverpool. This choice honored the heavy maritime and trade ties between the two cities, as many coal-carrying ships arriving in Uruguay's capital originated from Liverpool

20 years ago today we opened our doors in the Gostin Buildings on Hanover St after a lifetime of working markets, events and importing direct to the public.
The shop was originally called OFF THE WALL but within a few weeks that was changed to Transalpino.
we are now in our 5th premises in 20 years and it's been a great journey with many twists and turns along the way.
In 2015 Jay Montessori joined us after forming his own label 80scasuals which was the first ever terrace label launched in the early noughties.
It's give us a chance to travel the world searching for rare footwear and clothing which sent us down the road to compiling our own Counter Culture book and archive
The footwear game is over, it was great while it lasted but like all good things it come to an end.
In recent years we've concentrated on the brand and that's what we'll do moving forward plus other projects like exhibitions, books etc.
We'd like to thank everyone who has supported us over the years and here to the next 20🙌
