EARTH DAY 2021
@StedwardsC celebrated by painting images of the world, using scavenged items to create bug hotels, litter picked and discussed recycling and made pledges to conserve water with @stwater with the Wonderful World of Water. A great day was had by all.
Thanks @PVFCFoundation for our book donation 👏🏻 We can’t wait to add these books to our library so we can read them for pleasure 📚#readingforpleasure #PortVale
Here @StedwardsC we celebrated #WorldBookDay by reading for pleasure in all sorts of weird and wonderful places @WorldBookDayUK #ShowYourShares
Well done to all of our children for taking part in Safer Internet Day 2021. They shared their wisdom for being safe online. EYFS did an amazing job of showing how they stay safe online and created their own 'Digiduck' masks after reading the Digiduck story. #saferinternetday
On Friday 9th October, St. Edward's Academy Cheddeton raised £197 for @YoungMindsUK with the #HelloYellow campaign. We had a fantastic day of yellow filled fun whilst also developing our understanding of good mental health.
‘Hey @marksandspencer, our children in Early Years @StedwardsC are loving learning through play making the most of the M&S mini shop range! What do you think? 🤩
We’d be so grateful if you could add to our collection and help us deliver real-world teachings in the classroom! 🙏🏻
We were so excited to find this by our gate. What a great local idea to encourage reading for pleasure. We will enjoy sharing this book with our children. Look out for the book that we hide in return in Cheddleton📚 #leeklookforabook #readingforpleasure #staffordshiremoorlands
This weekend outside St Edward’s Academy in Cheddleton there are a number of key worker scarecrows made by the children. Boris is there to remind the children about the prime minister’s role during the pandemic.

YEAR 4 TRANSITION DAY - FRIDAY 3rd JULY 2020
Children at St. Edward’s Academy Cheddleton were invited back to school on Friday as part of transition to the middle school. It rained for most of the day but that did not dampen their spirits. Here they were at the outdoor disco.
We are very proud to be recognised in this article and to be nominated for The Sentinel Our Heroes Award in the Education Star Category #wellbeing @Sotlive stokesentinel.co.uk/news/sto…
This week has been very different. Children came into school to the sound of happy, music and bubbles were blowing around. All children have been given a new rainbow tie to wear. I hope you agree that this made the transition from home to school learning easier for all.
This week the Salvation Army in Leek sent a comfort break snack pack for our staff to enjoy. We would like to say a big thank you. It was much appreciated.
Today Mrs Blairs did some measuring with the children. We measured 2 metres and made social distancing telephones.
We’ve had a very busy day in school today. We did some gardening, made cakes and had a picnic lunch in the garden. After lunch we made a marble run using straws then enjoyed eating our homemade cakes in the garden.
We made rain makers in school today, the children said that they are going to use them on Thursday night when they clap for the key workers.
You’ve seen our message from our staff to children and now here is our children’s TRIBUTE TO KEY WORKERS. As ever we are so proud of our children for all of their hard work, compassion and respect. Enjoy! youtube.com/watch?v=pI5XB2MQ…
