The British Army has announced the tragic passing of Trooper Yudhisingh Jussun, 22, who died following a road traffic accident.
Serving with The Blues and Royals (Household Cavalry), Trooper Jussun moved from Mauritius to fulfill his dream of joining the military.
Remembered by his commanding officer as an "outstanding soldier," he regularly served on the King’s Guard and participated in two Trooping the Colour ceremonies.
Colleagues and superiors have paid tribute to his dedication, warmth, and outstanding service to the regiment.

More than 18 grand a year each to be precise.

I was never a Reform voter because they have never been the solution, but even if it came down to Reform or a hard- left coalition, I still wouldn’t vote for them.
I couldn’t hand on heart say I did my best for Britain and vote for a party that I don’t trust to make the hard decisions ahead.

A sensible proposal. Firearms reform is long overdue, but Britain must go further.
Licensed concealed carry for personal protection should be a fundamental right. There is no reasonable argument for leaving law-abiding citizens defenceless against criminals who have no reservations about carrying a weapon.
Restore Britain will take firearms and shotgun licensing away from local police forces and put it under a dedicated and accountable national body.
Why?
Because farmers, gamekeepers and responsible firearms owners should not be left waiting months and months for licensing decisions. I know that better than most…
Police forces simply do not have the capacity, and often the knowledge.
Processing firearms and shotgun certificates takes up valuable time and resources that could be directed towards frontline policing. A total waste.
We propose a centralised licensing authority, modelled on the Passport Office, with consistent standards, properly trained staff and a straightforward application and renewal process.
No more postcode lottery, no more endless delays.
Restore Britain will back responsible gun owners.
Generations of British servicemen and women fought and died shoulder to shoulder, their sacrifices honoured equally beneath one red poppy.
Now the Royal British Legion has decided even our war dead must endure the indignity of being sorted into identity groups. A shameful exercise in modern vanity.
