In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, we’re celebrating the players who have proudly represented their heritage in Pirates history. 🇵🇦 Panamanian catcher Manny Sanguillén spent 12 seasons with the Pirates, earning three All-Star selections and helping Pittsburgh win World Series championships in 1971 and 1979. Known for his aggressive approach at the plate, Sanguillén hit .299 during his Pirates career and remains one of the most accomplished catchers in franchise history.
