Are you ready for your midweek dose of heavy metal? Of course you are - don’t try to fight it! I’ll be on @RadioBigSky at 8 tonight with another Headbangers’ Ball. The featured ‘80s album comes from @TedNugent and there’s a cracking new song by @AyronJonesMusic.
At 1pm on my @TheRadCaroline show today the album tracks from 50 Years Ago are by @steveharleyCR, @eltonofficial, @sparksofficial and @aldimeolamusic. See you soon. #648AM
The Rhythm King on my @TheRadCaroline show today will be @ForeignerMusic drummer Dennis Elliott. Lots of tracks by them and a couple by @IanHunterdotcom who Dennis worked with in the mid-1970s. The programme runs from 10am to 2pm on #648AM, online and on DAB.
Boxing Clever on my @TheRadCaroline show today with the super deluxe edition of one of the greatest double albums of all time - Physical Graffiti by @ledzeppelin. It also boasts one of the best sleeves in rock music history. #648AM
This is a bit random but if the music of Ipswich-born @TomBaxterMusic isn’t on your radar then check out his debut album from 2004. It’s called Feather And Stone. Beautiful songs and arrangements, all sung from the heart. Little wonder @shirleybassey covered one of the songs.
Good morning. On my #MondayMusicMix on @HosRadioIpswich and @icrfm1057 show at 8 tonight four iconic singers come under the spotlight. There’ll be tracks from @BarbaraDickson’s new covers album and triple plays by @elaine_paige, @luluofficial and @shirleybassey. @Team_ESNEFT
22 years ago today one of our greatest broadcasters left us. John Peel was very much his own man and his incredible legacy lives on. @johnpeelarchive @JohnPeelCentre
More heavy metal coming your way at 10 tonight on @RadioBigSky. The featured album is by @judaspriest, there are five live tracks including one by @thundertowers and there’s new music by @tonyiommi. Brace yourself for The Headbangers’ Ball - it’s not for the faint-hearted!
