When I set out to write this book I always thought I'd be the only reader, so I wrote it for myself - a murder mystery set in rural Sussex in WW2 with a bit of Jack Reacher and a bit of Foyle's War. Some action. Some romance. Even a bit of carpentry! Check it out!

Very excited to share the beautiful cover for my next book - number 4 in the John Cook series. Out in November and available to preorder on Amazon now!
Thanks Glen! Glad you enjoyed it!
Just finished this cracker by @Stephen_Ronson. I love the Jack Reacher books, so when I saw the cover quote I was already keen. Definitely not disappointed - this was an action-packed page turner which cost me a decent chunk of time I should have been asleep each night!

Huge congratulations to my talented wife @daniellercohen1 and the rest of the cast for their well-deserved Audie nomination (The Audies are the Oscars of the audiobook world).
All 3 John Cook WW2 crime thrillers are currently in the top 50 Amazon historical thrillers, with The Blitz Secret at number 1! Huge thanks to everyone who’s read and reviewed and recommended to a friend! Let’s keep this going!!

helpful tip for working out when to use ai to write for you:
- if you’re writing something that matters, don’t write it with ai
- if you’re writing something that doesn’t matter, still don’t write it with ai. in fact don’t write it at all
Huge thank you to Shaun for his amazing review of #TheBlitzSecret. Sometimes writing us a bit like putting stuff out into the void so getting reader feedback like this is beyond gratifying. ❤️🙏🏻❤️ instagram.com/reel/DTtRZkQDu…
No, MS Word with seemingly undeletable Co-pilot, I do NOT want to click CTRL-I and have you "rewrite" the eighty thousand words I've put my heart and soul into for the past year. I heartily despise your cheerful icon sitting there, at the end of my sentence, day in day out.

watching some 80s movies I'd never seen before
1 Year Of Living Dangerously (1982)
Peter Weir directs so its shot beautifully. The plot however is pretty thin. The film works because Mel Gibson's charisma & chemistry w Sigourney Weaver is off the hook.

Incredible film.
Replying to @adrianmckinty
3 Angel Heart (1987)
another ridiculously charismatic leading man, Mickey Rourke, carries this atmospheric period horrror/thriller all the way to its shocking conclusion; not sure how I avoided this fantastic, twisted little noir - it was bloody great 👍
