Honestly think he’s just practicing. Making sure he’s comfortable if/when the bump doesn’t work and/or the FTs dry up. Like a few years ago when he came out shooting 10 pull-up threes a game. Tries to get comfortable with a new thing, then works it back into the whole.

Shai’s diet can be whatever right now but he has to start drawing free throws again. defenders are biting at every fake and he’s refusing to capitalize. they’re damn near a third of his points and a huge bump in his efficiency
