Watching the Man City saga unfold as someone with absolutely no allegiance to either side…
One of the key pillars of football’s financial rules is supposedly “financial sustainability”.
So how is City’s owner effectively gifting equity to the club considered such a problem, while the Glazers loading Man United with huge debt and interest costs is compliant?
City broke the rules — punish them accordingly. But if debt-loading a club is acceptable while gifting equity isn’t, can we really claim these rules protect financial sustainability?
Perhaps it’s not just the clubs that need scrutiny. Perhaps the rules themselves do.

COACH OPPORTUNITY…
First Team Manager, James Kinsey, is looking to add another coach to our Men’s First Team staff.
Following a record-breaking title-winning season, the Ammies have made a strong start to life at Step Four and are now looking to strengthen the coaching team as the club continues to progress.
James Kinsey said:
“Since losing Liam Myers in the summer we have not actively pursued that extra pair of hands.
The phone book is there, but we wanted to put it out and see what comes forward to come and be a part of what we’re trying to build. Garry Brown give me my first opportunity in a similar capacity with New Mills all them years ago, and it’s turned out okay.
We want somebody to come in and assist myself and Tom Conroy in sessions, help with individual sessions and add to the very high quality staff we already have here.”
The position offers an opportunity to work within a competitive senior football environment at Step Four of the National League System. All applicants should be flexible to Tuesday & Thursday evenings, as well as Saturday afternoons.

L̶o̶a̶n̶ ̶P̶l̶a̶y̶e̶r̶… OUR PLAYER!
The Ammies are delighted to confirm the permanent signing of Luke Partington from @radcliffeboro!
The 21-year-old has been a huge hit since arriving on loan in August, and we’re thrilled to have secured his services on a permanent basis until the summer of 2027 with the option of a further year.
Luke is one of several exciting young talents within our squad, and we’re delighted he’s chosen to continue the next chapter of his journey with the Ammies.
A huge thank you to everyone at Radcliffe for their support in making this move happen. Their commitment to supporting the development of young players deserves real recognition. Class from start to finish.
He’s one of our own now. Welcome permanently, Luke!

This is like treating erectile dysfunction by showing you where the nearest Boots is. Absolute fucking visionary.
I know people are worried about fuel prices. And I get it. You get to the pump, watch the numbers climb, and wonder why it's costing so much more than it used to.
The reality is that global events are pushing up costs, and families here at home are feeling the impact.
But I won't accept that there's nothing I can do to help.
That's why from today, you'll be able to see petrol and diesel prices on Google Maps, compare nearby stations and find the cheapest option before you fill up.
It's a small change, but if there's a practical way to help people keep more money in their pocket, I'll do it.

Over the next few days, we’ll be sharing a number of new sponsorship opportunities at Wythenshawe FC, with every penny raised going straight back into supporting the Club.
But for us, sponsorship should be about more than simply taking support from local businesses. We want to give something back too and build stronger relationships across our local community.
We currently have pitch-side board availability for the 2026/27 season. Alongside the exposure your business will receive throughout the season, every sponsor will also be invited to join our new local business working group — bringing together local companies, trades and professionals to build connections, create opportunities and encourage businesses to work with and support each other (more to follow on that).
Interested in getting involved, email [email protected]
