I have a crazy idea...
Grow my new newsletter from ~100 subscribers to 10,000 in six months. How?
25 projects in 25 weeks. Over the next 25 weeks, starting next week, I'll build, ship, and market one new project each week.
Some will be funny, some will be wacky, some will be thought-provoking.
I'll keep this thread going with each launch.
This is weird, but I love this year's calendar. It was awesome having the holidays on the weekend. (Including my Birthday)
The next year this happens will be 2037.
People seriously underestimate how much small habits compound over many years. 20 minutes a day doing <something you care about> could be life-changing.
It's so obvious to me that our current global economic system is unraveling. Yet, there don't seem to be many conversations about what's next. What will people do when the cost of labor is headed towards $0? Who will pay for all the older people's health care and pensions? How can governments help make the transition as painless as possible?
Just barreling into all this with no plan is insane.

Day 25/
We are doubling all usage limits for all Pro 100/200/500 tiers and Business Premium, effective today.
We heard your kind feedback and won’t be reducing usage limits for Pro 200, so your Work and Codex usage will stay the same. We’re also going to continue offering extended limits for dots for now, and usage of your dot will still continue to be separate from your default usage.
And we'll of course also keep shipping better models and other efficiency improvements that increase your effective usage over time.
You're welcome guys.

Ok am I the only one who thinks the OpenAI resets every other day is dumb? Just give us more usage per week and stop the games.
For the love of God, let's get rid of daylight saving time and just stick to one time all year long.
I'm an annoyingly optimistic person. I am convinced that the people who show up and leave weird, nasty, bizarrely over-the-top, angry, and toxic comments are bots. 110% Russian bots made to just disrupt society, make everyone miserable, and make and convince everyone that the world is a worse place than it really is.
P.S. I have availability right now to help out a team or project.
If you know anyone who could use some help do get in touch.
It's starting. In the future, you will not own a car if you live in a city. Yes, even in Europe. Waymo is pushing hard to get started in London and Madrid, Spain.
Soon, on-demand autonomous cars will be so cheap to use that car ownership will crash. Earth will literally need 80% fewer cars. So all of them will be 100% EVs.
There will be a mix of cars to order. From tiny cars when it's just you and a bag, to bigger vans when you need to run errands and pick things up.
They'll drive super close together during rush hour and busy times. They might even physically connect like a train.
You won't need to pay for gas or insurance.
But you'll have a lot of other options to get around. 👇
- You could walk
- You'll have e-bikes
- Electric buses
- Electric trains
- Cities will probably tax the hell out of autonomous cars to pay for public transport to fill in the gaps.
- You'll even see electric drones for big and fast commutes
Someone cold emailed me an offer. They would introduce me to potential freelance clients. If one hires me as a freelancer. I would have to give this guy 10% of all the money I made. Just for an intro.
I've said this for a while but what's the game plan for all these anti-AI people? Stop using smartphones and computers? Only use old tech from before 2023?
Even the _Linux_ kernel is built with AI now. That means all servers, smartphones, Macs, etc. Basically everything.
My God, are my fellow older tech workers a miserable bunch:

I need to start a blog or something for all the weird emails/messages I get these days.
Today, someone demanded a link to a site because my site is similar to theirs (I presume it's their site?).
