Teammates with Gary Crawshaw 🎥💫
A #ThrowbackThursday special as we asked @StevenageFC legend Gary Crawshaw a few questions at @StevenageMuseum about Boro in the 90’s & his fellow teammates.
We pre-apologise for the fishbowl audio, probably should invest in a mic! 🎙️😅

Back in the summer, we hastily decided to revamp the whole site to mark of Boro's 50th anniversary season.
We think we're now at the end of that revamp (but for some extra small bits we added to the to-do list).
So, here's a rundown of our new features... (1/12)

Brave Frank!😳
Made us chuckle this article because it still happens today, the lower league Saturday & part-time Sunday player.
Was quite common for a Boro player, Transpack, Twin Foxes, King Pin…
Frank who features on our GoodFellas flag luckily knew best on this occasion!

Remember Stevenage in the 70’s? 👀
It’s been baffling us for a while, did Stevenage wear stripes or block red in 1976? 💭
Athletic 75/76 - Stripes.
Boro is born 76/77 - No programme or image record currently found.
Boro 77/78 - Block Red.
Boro 78/79 - Stripes.
Help!? 🤔

From the trenches of non-existence to that “founding” meeting… 📆✨

Here is the speech that Stevenage FC's first chairman, Keith Berners, gave on this day 50 years ago at the public meeting to "form the Legal Constitution of the new club".
The new club's committee would meet for the first time the following week, on 30 September.
