Last week, we hosted our first-ever Subscriber Special webinar with Phil Hoffer, one of Stockopedia’s earliest members. He’s quietly compounded his portfolios to a +656% gain over 13 years. 📈 Here’s a thread on how he did it 🧵👇

Join us at 5pm today as our CEO Ed Croft sits down with private investor Phil Hoffer. When Phil shared his process last year, 2,831 investors registered to hear it. He has followed his rules through more than a decade as a Stockopedia subscriber, and this year put those rules, and his nerve, to the test. What you'll discover: - The one change Phil made to his rules this year, and how they carried him through a strong run to June and the sharp correction after it - Why Phil looks well beyond the UK for opportunities, and why it mattered so much when the market corrected - Why deciding what not to do sits at the heart of his discipline, and how to choose what to leave out of your own process - Why Phil sees himself as the weak link in his own process, and how he keeps himself out of the decisions - How to narrow thousands of shares to a short list worth your time, and why a share must already be trending before Phil will consider it - The thinking that kept him in a share that rose dramatically, holding on for more than three years before taking any profit, and how to let your own winners run - When to sell, and the rules that help Phil act decisively rather than hesitate Bring your questions, and Phil and Ed will discuss them live. Can't make it? Register anyway and we'll send you the recording. Save your place: stk.pe/4icO3FA

I've been doing some research on StockRanks jumps - and some quite good results. Rule of thumb is... a sizeable jump of 10-40 into the 90+ range creates significant alpha. The investment community appears slow to respond → opportunity for private investors.

Stockopedia’s NAPS portfolio is up 12% this year to date. Despite Hormuz. Despite tariffs. Despite the great SaaS sell-off. But the themes rising out of those returns? That’s the really interesting bit. Join Ed Croft next Thursday (18th) at 5pm to discover more: stk.pe/49ZveRH

SpaceX may be the finest engineering company of its generation - and I'm a believer in the Sci-Fi fantasy of Dyson Swarms. But our StockRanks framework still calls it a Momentum Trap.

86% of our subscribers beat or matched a strong UK market in 2025. But it wasn't the returns that impressed us most in our latest Subscriber Performance Survey. It was something much more valuable than pure profit... 🤔 🧵

The real story isn't the strong returns. It's that fewer than 1% of subscribers said they felt less confident about investing after subscribing to Stockopedia. That's sustainable outperformance in the making. ⚡ 6/7
