It's here: our 2023 report, reflecting on the past 2.5 years of organizing after the immediate crisis of the pandemic. Read it, print it, share it with comrades—we hope it moves you (to action). stompoutslumlords.org/wp-con…
🚨EMERGENCY RALLY - TENANT LEADER ARRESTED FOR ORGANIZING - WED 3/4 @ 6 PM🚨
At Channel Square (325 P St SW), a resident was charged with Unlawful Entry for attending a tenant union meeting about mold, rodents, plumbing issues, and lack of heat.
This is retaliation. This is union-busting. And if they can do it to one tenant, they will try to do it to all of us.
The tenants united will never be defeated! ✊✊🏿✊🏻
Thanks to everyone who came to our all-hands meeting to defeat the RENTAL Act and save TOPA!

A plague of pests: tenants at the Oaklawn are protesting @VanMetreCo's failure to deal with rampant cockroach, mice, and bedbug infestations. Many are on rent strike against these and other injustices—like a rent hike with no improvements to show for it!
The building hasn't been fumigated since 2002—and even when individuals units are treated, afterwards bugs from untreated neighboring units will just come flooding in
From falling ceilings and mold to new countertops: Victoria, president of the Buena Vista Co-op, showed us the new kitchens that organizing brought them. Proof that TOPA works!
For reference this was her kitchen in 2021, and for all the years landlord @UIPPM neglected it before that. cc @amanduhgomez washingtoncitypaper.com/arti…
