🌿 GROWING A GREENER FUTURE: EVERY TREE PLANTED, EVERY ACTION COUNTS! 💚
In support of Kenya’s ambitious target of growing 15 billion trees by 2032, today @MWARPKenya joined the Kenya Forest Service and the community of #Majoreni, Lungalunga Sub County to mark #MazingiraDay, reinforcing the importance of collective action in #protecting, #restoring, and #nurturing our #environment.
The day was marked by the planting of #mangrove trees, a vital step towards conserving our coastal #ecosystems, protecting #marine habitats, supporting #biodiversity, and safeguarding the livelihoods of communities that depend on marine #resources.
Beyond planting trees, the message was clear: environmental conservation begins with each of us! Keeping our surroundings #clean, reducing #pollution, protecting our #forests, and caring for our natural resources are essential steps towards building a healthier and more sustainable future.
MWARP recognizes that protecting the environment is a shared responsibility that requires commitment from individuals, communities, and institutions alike. Every seedling planted, every piece of #waste properly disposed of, and every conservation effort contributes to a greener and healthier planet.
Let us take action today to protect the environment we depend on tomorrow. Together, we can nurture nature and leave a lasting legacy for future generations!

After years of social accountability work in Vihiga, supported by TISA and Welthungerhilfe (WHH), something important is shifting: citizens are moving from demanding accountability to occupying spaces where decisions are made.
Naomi Amwayi is a powerful example.
Through community health scorecards, Naomi and others documented gaps in healthcare, including sanitation and accessibility barriers affecting persons with disabilities. She also organized persons with disabilities to register for the Social Health Authority and helped them navigate assessments and certification.
But this work exposed a deeper question: why should communities have no meaningful say in who represents them on health facility boards?
The community challenged this.
The day is almost here #idgc2026, tomorrow we are celebrating the #girlchild. Advocating for their rights and raising their voices through #girlsfootball.
Join us at anex sports ground shimo la tewa.
