I feel repulsed by this phrase: "Hurt people hurt people." When someone uses this phrase, it's usually to explain why certain hurtful things are intentionally or unintentionally done.
It still shouldn't excuse hurtful behavior whether someone chooses it or not, especially when its impact on others is negative.
There are plenty of hurt people who have worked hard not to hurt others. They know their trauma is theirs to deal with and don't just pass it onto others and shrug it off.

Yes, they are sweet until they are not, and you never know when they are not sweet and maim/kill people or other animals.
I don't care if YOUR pit bulls are sweet. It literally means nothing to me.
The 5-year-old's mother posted on Reddit:
"THIS IS MY DAUGHTER. A skull fracture, some cuts and a broken collarbone. I only WISH that she had only these injuries. She's been on life support because the pit bull RIPPED HER THROAT OPEN, bit her neck so hard that SHE BROKE HER SPINE and she bled out almost all of her blood. She was without oxygen for 27 minutes, because doctors had to give her cpr multiple times and blood units one after the other. MY CHILD ALMOST DIED, and the local media only said that SHE HAS BUMPS AND BRUISES?!?!My daughter was so drained of blood that she suffered a stroke, and now her ENTIRE RIGHT SIDE IS PARALYZED FOR THE REST OF HER LIFE?!?! It's heartbreaking enough that I have to spend day and night watching my baby suffer...
