For as long as we've covered Robotics, the question has been "when?"…
When do we move from novelty to utility, demos to deployment?
In our latest Field Trip, we sent our analyst behind the scenes of the leading robotics lab to see with his own eyes what's happening on the bleeding edge of the curve.
The verdict? Robotics has reached a tipping point.
Useful productivity, autonomy and embodied intelligence are rapidly accelerating but most frameworks haven’t properly focused on the drivers. Instead, we lay our own framework for the coming wave of Physical AI.

So, markets are up today even with oil and bond yields continuing to be high with a headline CPI print at 3.4%.
However, it seems like the reason for the market not reacting negatively is because Core CPI, which measures the change in consumer prices excluding food and energy, came in at 2.4% and was the second lowest since 2021.
Basically, I *think* the market reaction could be saying that the majority of the inflation is energy, aka oil spiking because of the Iran war, but the underlying foundational elements of inflation are actually coming down nicely.
Which means...the Fed doesn't really need to hike even though the chances for a hike next week from 71% to 90% today.
However, it feels kind of crazy to just assume that "the market is pricing in an end to the Iran war and buying stocks to front run that," because you could've said that for the past few months and it also begs the question about the brightline -- is it 5% on the 10yr? Is it $120 on oil?
If the market thinks the bulk of all the inflation is transitory, then the question just becomes when the war will end and maybe the entire resilience we have seen from stocks has been based on the premise that market participants simply feel the war in Iran will come to an end, oil will go down, yields will god own, and then earnings will be all that matters.
Which maybe isn't that crazy?

The issue with threatening the Fed and the bond vigilantes with trade is that... they don't care. Jobs data remains strong, which is emboldening their resolve.
However, President Trump does have a card of his own to play if he wants to impact rates: end the war with Iran.

Druckenmiller on Bessent's bullshit
"I have spent five decades trading on a simple premise: Markets aggregate information no committee possesses, and prices are how that information reaches decision makers. The long-term Treasury yield is the most important price in the world. It is also the only fiscal disciplinarian the U.S. has left."
"Every basis point of artificial yield suppression is a subsidy to procrastination." "Return buybacks to their stated purpose: small, scheduled, off-the-run liquidity operations announced at quarterly refundings, never off-cycle responses to yield levels. Term out the debt honestly and pay the price the market sets."
"If the 30-year must trade at 5.5% to clear, that isn’t a crisis. It is an invoice. Then do the only thing that durably lowers long-term yields: address the primary deficit."

I've seen this argument about $INDI quite a bit.
People stop at "they supply Unitree, and Unitree is China",
Fair concern.
To me it's a plus.
It means indie's moat is so big even China has to reckon with it.
Think about who Unitree is.
The most cost-effective company in the sector.
Builds its own motors, its own boards, its own joints.
Squeezes every dollar out of the BOM.
And they still buy their sensing from an American fabless.
When the most cost-obsessed company in all of China couldn't find anything local, that says more than you think.
What if Unitree leaves someday?
Could happen.
indie would still have Figure AI on the Western side.
And Agibot, which is also Chinese, and also picked the same American chip. Same conclusion, twice.
When your customers are the ones with every reason not to buy from you, and they buy anyway...
That's the moat.

Wait... what?
Insiders are BUYING while this thing is sitting with over 100% short interest?
So let me get this straight...
Shorts are leaning as hard as they possibly can.
Management is buying shares with their own money.
Retail hasn't really shown up yet.
That's... an interesting combination.
