The @Pacers are reviving their most popular ABA uniform, first used in the 1971-72 season. Trainer David Craig and stat crew member Bernie Celender designed them, admittedly copying the those of the Atlanta Hawks but claiming ...

Here’s your semi-regular reminder that there’s not a player in MLB history who fielded the bunt play as well as Keith Hernandez
He played first base with the aggressiveness of a shortstop, and if he was right-handed, probably *would have been* a shortstop

When Democrats come back into power, they need to understand that this is not the time to come together and "move on and heal" as a nation. I want names. I want charges. I want court cases. I want indictments. That's what I fucking want when Democrats come back into power.

If the United States televised is an execution, there’s no going back. There’s no putting that horse back in the barn. Wake the fuck up America -you’re being hoodwinked by a bunch of ignorant racist psychopaths.

Quick story on this pic
A friend and I were at Ditka’s for my 22nd bday. We drove up from FL to see Bears v Pack (Conte game) Coach walked in. Chatted with me for 30 min, took a pic, fist bumped a Da Bears and paid for our whole dinner and drinks.
A night I’ll always cherish 🧡

I spent 21 years at ESPN, and for 10 of those years, Coach Mike Ditka and I worked together every Sunday.
Every Saturday night, we had dinner together. Those Saturday nights were some of the best nights of my entire ESPN career.
Mike was a legend, but what made him special went far beyond football. He was genuine, kind, and one of the greatest human beings I’ve ever had the privilege of knowing.
I learned so much from Coach, both on and off the set. I’m grateful that our paths crossed on this journey we call life, and I’m a better person for having known him.
Rest in peace, Coach. 🙏🏼
Thank you for the memories, the lessons, and the friendship. You will be missed.

Dearest mother —
We were unsuccessful in our last battle. Frustrating. But we have no time to sulk. As the men returned to base, scouts notified me that a unit of leprechauns has used its magic to sneak upon our outskirts and is ready for battle. Mystifying. I have received your care package of peppered frog thighs and sparrow soup.

I am so incredibly sad to learn of the passing of Mike Ditka. His playing & coaching prowess is well documented. A legit 🐐. But more importantly...he was kind, supportive and funny. When I first got to ESPN there were definitely ex NFL stars (and others!) that looked at the nerdy fantasy guy with disdain or a shake of the head. When I walked by I tried to move quickly past them to my segment & get out. But after seeing this a few times, Coach Ditka called me over to him, where he was holding court and surrounded by a ton of other ESPN stars and producers. Ditka thanked me(!) for coming over to him and said he wanted to meet ME. That I was his kids favorite person on ESPN and that all they talked about was fantasy football. That he appreciated my work on air and he was glad to be on the same team with me. And then he put his arm around me. I have no idea if any of that was true, but I know Mike did that specifically to throw his support behind me. And if you had Coach Ditka on your side, well, that went a LONG way internally. And every week after that he would talk with me about matchups and players that he liked and things he'd seen and heard around the NFL, helping me be better at my job. RIP Mike Ditka. Much love always.

Forty years ago I didn’t know anyone at ESPN’s personal opinion on politics. Hell, I didn’t even know their personal opinions of the athletes they covered. And I had no idea what a beautiful thing that was.

One day we will look back on this period in American history not just in severe embarrassment but with complete incomprehension. How did this happen? How did Idiocracy become real life in the richest, and one of the most educated, societies in human history?
