The worst line graphs for us since Winter Storm Uri.
According to ESPN Analytics, in the 4 games the Spurs lost in the NBA Finals, they had a...
— 91.6% chance of winning Game 1 up 13 points midway thru the 3rd
— 72.8% chance of winning Game 2 up 2 points with 1 minute left in the 4th
— 99.6% chance of winning Game 4 up 20 points with 9:33 left in the 4th
— 95.4% chance of winning Game 5 up 10 points with 7:54 left in the 4th
This is so fun to see. Also noteworthy that the average customer used much more electricity then. The average 1982 electric bill of $68 adjusted for inflation would be $242 today — and current bills are less than half that.

Austin Energy crews spent the day gathering and loading equipment. We're on our way to help our public power partner, @NESpower, following a severe ice storm. When a utility calls, we show up.
The Austin Energy team has been doing an amazing job responding to Winter Storm Fern. From an electric system perspective, we were fortunate to get more sleet than freezing rain. Still, the coordination and response citywide has been remarkable.
Sometimes reliability upgrades are hard to get to. That won’t stop Austin Energy in the continued commitment in delivering better service to customers. Awesome job, team!

Lots going on, and a lot more to do. But this plan lays out a feasible path for us to make our system more resilient and reliable with investments that will benefit our community. Completion of this plan is a milestone in itself, as the team has been doing amazing work.
⚡️ The Electric System Resiliency Plan (ESRP) is Austin Energy’s strategy to ensure the grid is more reliable and resilient against extreme weather and other disruptions, can recover quickly from outages and adapt to future challenges.

Austin Energy received notice from EPA that Solar for All is terminated. Our local $32M implementation was set to innovate in solar & storage - especially for low income and medically vulnerable. A disappointing setback, but we’ll continue to provide industry leading programs.
