Pub 3399, Cassidy’s , Alton. By gum, Frazzles are still great value for money aren’t they? This is a classy long green slim bricky micro which makes you feel welcome, from a distance. Too many dog photos the only minus. A grower this place, like a mushroom omelette.

Pub 3397, Thatched Cottage, Farnborough. Jaegermeister orange Halloween social media session in my eyeline. FOBBOC of a pub. Pubs smells of eggs. Stops my Moondance drinking better. Heard this was gastro but has a solid local feel.

Pub 3398, Railway Arms, Frimley. A BOBFOC pub. Speck Hen only (a beer I don’t even like) but hear me out , proper boozer! Carpet a 9. Locals laugh at memes on their phones about grey pubic hair. Wanna open my scampi fries but flo the dog keeps wandering over.

Pub 3396, Goat in the Garden, Farnborough. Walked around a house for 10 mins looking for a bar before realising the goat IS in the garden. Top main man. Moaned about evil council and Americans in Bath who hate stairs. Euro wife rocks up. Gentle CAMRA lads arrive. Excellent.

Pub 3395, Queen Hotel, Aldershot. Jolly posing table maniac finds a toddler being fed by Mummy the source of great entertainment. The carpet an uncharacteristically ’Spoons 8/10. Mild ‘probably’ off so Scarecrow it is. Bought a poppy. Just felt right here 🫶🏻. Happy Thu.

York Tap. York. Open! Miss Wetnose (with new lighter hair) reckons trains to Scarborough are still happening. Nice atmos n smell cos no north easterners with bad bowels are in. The Abbeydale Choc Cake Stout purrs. Been a helluva a day, I tell thee! But a good ‘un. 💓

Pre-emptive Mooon Under Waater. Deansgate. Another yummy carpet. Gambling girls push me off my spot. Smells cleaner than Pic. By 1% . The customers are very motivated . There’s a forgotten art deco about the building.

Wetherspoons, Piccadilly, Manchester. Not really too near Pic but amazingly not been before! Carpet an excellent 9. The locals seem a bit weird in the head but a couple let me share their table mainly cos they are watching Traitors on their phone. Oakham drinks great.

Pub 3394. Railway, Mobberley. Seat in front of fire is what I deserve (honest) , Sneaked in in front of dribbling dining idiots to enjoy Chelts with locals. Then I retired to area where dog nibbled my bag. Drug man asks if I have 20p.

Pub 3393, Chester Station Tap, Chester. A more limited version of York Tap, just like how Chester is a more limited city than York. Knock through a wall and we have a winner. Stout good, locals prefer low seats.

Pub 3392, That Beer Place, Chester. Keeps winning cider awards. Ain’t it ironic don’t you think Alanis? “We’ve never won a beer award , we might have to rename ourselves!” lols the jolly host. Sold! I’m on something dry n proper. 6.5%. Accidentally followed two balds upstairs

Pub 3391, Albion, Chester. Corrr what a pub! Where’s it been all my Chester ticking life? Getting the feeling that stags n hens aren’t welcome 😄. Carpet actually a 9.5/10. Parloury. Smells of gravy. Rhode Island drinks amazing. Lady worried her son wants to move back home.

Pub 3390, Sandstone, Chester. From the makers of Bluestone and the new Wealstone (thanks Rob!) comes this outta town precinter. Wind whipping up, rain spotting. Barmaid helpful friendly. Expects soggy lost dog walkers in later. Northern Monk drinks a hazy dream.
