We recently organised a national tour with @LesbianLabour called 'Lesbian not Criminal', warning about how new laws like Gender Self-ID undermine the right of lesbians to insist only females can be lesbians and only males can be gay men.
Here's a taster of the London event👇

Today we and a wide range of co-signatories have written to Alister Jack, Secretary of State for Scotland. It is our view that the Scottish GRRB will remove our rights under the protected characteristic of sexual orientation in the Equality Act 2010.

One of our trustees Rob Wintemute was prevented from speaking at McGill University in Montreal by a baying mob.
It's disgraceful that an eminent gay professor of human rights law was unable to discuss gay rights. Gay people still have rights, don't we?

When it comes to medicalisation of gender-questioning youth, research into whether this improves mental health is sparse and low quality. This new report from @SexMattersOrg attempts to fill in the gaps, and finds it may be worse than a placebo 👇

Today LGB Alliance and 4 other gay and lesbian groups wrote to all MSPs urging them to reconsider the Scottish GR Reform bill.
Yesterday’s judgment clarified that a GRC changes both sex and sexual orientation under the Equality Act. It is imperative to rethink this bad Bill.

Today’s judgment in Edinburgh is dramatic and important. We intervened in support of @ForWomenScot because we believe our rights as LGB people are based on biological sex and were concerned that Scottish govt legislation would undermine this in law. 1/

Far from being international best practice, self-id will simply fuel more demands from lobbyists.

In 2020, we warned that the Scottish Government's GR Reform Bill risks the safety of girls and women (including lesbians). We welcome the UN Special Rapporteur’s warning that this Bill is flawed and the process could be abused by men with malign intent.
